Winter, brrrr 07/16/2010

"Winter has me in it's grip", so wrote Don McLean.
But the days are drawing out and soon  we will be taking spring photos.

Till then, I content myself with snapping the livestock in winter glory.

This is a filly by my stallion, Quassa. It was a real delight to see her at the NZ Arab Horse Breedrs National Championships in Christchurch in February 2010.

Had a photo selected by NZ Met Service to be included on their website of weather photos. this photo was taken at the end of a long hard day at the vineyard and I was at home getting about the farm, when I spotted the double rainbow.

The first post of this decade!! Unreal really.

I washed up some horses with a view to getting some new photos of them. but, I continue to be disapointed
by my canon digital, so when we did a four wheel drive trip yesterday, I took my good old Kodak digital.

Also got some shots of some roses with my kodak while visiting an Auntie. really loved her roses.

I have finished the MASADA Park movie. I had taken a clip of the beautiful mare Masada Park Movies Star at the NZAHBS AGM in April and decided she deserved to have her own movie.
Here it is. Enjoy.

Masada Park Matador
Picture

I have been busy working on a really enjoyable project for Masada Park Arabians this last month.

My brief was to take a picture of a beautiful arabian gelding called Masada Park Matador (iiu) imp Australia, which was taken by my very talented friend Carmen Tuite of South Canterbury, and create an image that showcased his stunning good looks.

Part two of my project was to create a stud logo for Masada Park.
I was fortunate that once again, I could draw on the wonderful images by Carmen and I incorporated these into the design.

Almost finished, is the third element to the project and that is a short video of the beautiful imported mare Masada Park Movie Star.

Masada Park Arabians are breeding some fabulous horses and you can check them out at www.masadaparkarabians.net
